If I have been researching correctly, the PV flashes the OEM ecu with engine tuning mods so the CC function is not messed with. What about the Tmax? I see that it is a replacement ecu stand alone system. Does the CC function still work with it as well? I'm slightly leaning towards the PV, but the Tmax looks very simple to install and operate. My future goals are the Comp Cams 246A cam, bigger TB and other supporting mods.

The Tmax is an Alpha-N EFI controller which uses throttle position (Alpha) and engine RPM (N) to control the engine fuel and ignition. The OEM ECU is a Speed-Density controller which uses engine RPM (Speed) and Air Density (intake manifold air density is calculated from Manifold Absolute Pressure and Temperature, MAPT). While both get the job done, Alpha-N is typically recommended when big cams with lots of overlap cause the MAPT sensor reading to be inaccurate. Speed-Density is generally considered to be the superior system for street use.
