I have a set of CVO emblems and I want to install on my 2019 Breakout but they don't fit the contour of the tank. Is it a possibility to heat them up and try to shape them without messing them up. Thoughts/Troubles/Wasted my money...etc???
I put 115th Anniversary tank badges on my 2018 Fat Bob because I like the look of the badges and they go with the overall design of the bike, and I don't give a flying fart what anyone else thinks about 'em, I think it looks awesome. I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking I've got an "anniversary edition", I just liked the 2-tone of the emblem and the look of the Harley eagle, and the shield he's holding being gold/bronze fits the color scheme of my bike perfectly.
I sincerely doubt Ant-Man is trying to trick anyone into thinking he's got a CVO, he probably just likes the look of the badges and hey, people are known to customize their bikes sometimes.
Ant-Man, I don't know what to tell you about the curvature. The badges I got (115th eagles) just so happened to perfectly fit the contours of my bike's tank, which is a 5-gallon tank from a Fat Boy. Possibly the curvature problem is because you have the 3.5 gallon tank? Are those badges plastic or metal?

Not everyone wants to ride around on an armchair. If I wanted a windscreen and radio I'd drive a car...
Back to actually trying to help the OP, I bought some cheap nasty 3d printed badges that came flat, put them in the oven for 30 seconds then shaped them onto the contour of the tank. Worked perfectly.
