Default Sissy Bars

What’s up guys. I introduced myself as an FXFBS rider and I am however, I screwed around and test rode a FXLRS and realized i might have bought the wrong bike (coming from a Super Bike, the “semi” mids on the Low Rider S are more comfortable/ confidence in leaning inspiring then the fwds on my Fat Bob S). Now... a far a way dealer backed me into a corner (drove a knife through every excuse NOT to trade, number/ package wise) on a Barracuda Silver FXLRS sooooo I left a deposit that is the same as the down payment (just in case lol). He told me to keep the accessories from the Fat Bob (Sun Downer seat, sissy bar, mounting hardware and back pad). I don’t need the seat to fit, but does anyone know if the sissy bar from the FXFBS will fit the FXLRS? Thanks.

If it's the std quick release system then everything will swap over from one to the other.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it is the Harley branded quick release system I have on the Fat Bob. The guy at the parts counter said it wouldn’t fit because the part numbers aren’t the same. Thanks for confirming for me.

That's as far as I am aware of. That's one of the cool things about the new Softails, that system is universal across the models AFAIK.

2018+ FXFB Part Number: 52300454
2020 FXLRS Part Number: 52300434

So it seems to me the differences in p/n are due to slightly different fender widths. You should at least be able to swap the retention system that attaches to the fender support, as well as the backrest if needed.

That’s actually exactly what the parts counter said. We’ll see how it goes.
