Well I was asking the first poster. He's got a 2020 Harley that I assume the dealer modified. My understanding is a M8 has the ability to modify ignition and mixture to suit a dealer stage 1.

I was just wondering can a dealer install a tuner that meets street legal requirements and Harley's warranty. And is it Harley OEM?

Seems a little strange a street legal setup would be throwing codes.

yes, it was the factory tuner, which means the warranty is valid. The issue may have been with the slip-on mufflers. I installed V&H with their standard baffle. After the tune, I replace the baffle with the V&H quiet baffle. The added backpressure may have contributed to the mixture issue. But thats just a guess.

That is not really answering my question. I don't see a street legal optional OEM factory tuner for a 2020 Harley. Is it a separate part with a number or a flash of the original ECM? I'm just trying to figure was real and legal and what they tell us at a dealership.

I do agree from my experience especially if a muffler system eliminates a crossover that those quite baffles are like a plug in the exhaust. They create terrible back pressure.

They have the 50 state legal SE Pro Street Tuner available, it is a separate part, but I don't know the number. Just look up any 2020 bike in the parts and select Screaming Eagle for the category, it's in there.
