Trying these silicone pipe caps to stop water getting into the bags they are soft so are a tight push fit to cover the lock , where I suspect the water gets in
Hi Kev
hope you are good at the moment.
It was an eBay search, I have been trying to find a solution, as the panniers after a a wet few days touring in Wales leaked, especially when the bike was parked up the lock area fills with water and I think ingresses through it.
I hope this will stop the problem, seems to have worked when washing the bike.
If you look at the screen shot search for the result, you have to choose your size, the size that is a good snug fit is 56.3mm, it won't fall out on the go either, also bought a different size for the wife's Sportster panniers as well.
I ordered 4 because I figure one will fall off or I'll leave it somewhere. Long delay till they arrive, some time in February. Lucky it's dry season here!
