I am n a hunt for a solo seat for my 2019 Heritage Classic 114. The oem just don’t provide me comfort during long rides. Anyone who experienced riding on both Corbin and Mustang seats. Which is the better seat for 200miles ++ riding?
Please post pictures if possible.
ive had a Corbin in the past (on a non HD bike) and the poster who called them hard and firm is correct. Not bad, just firm. For my Fatboy, I went with a LePera Bare Bones solo with the gel, and I’m very happy with it. It’s a good middle ground between firm and comfy.
I bought a Corbin Solo for my 2018 Fat Boy. It is heavy, way too tall on the back side (looks fugly), uses a lock that did not fit correctly and extends further back that the original seat thus rubbing on the fender not to mention it pushes me forward.. Saddle color is gray. Well made but is garage candy. I need to sell it at a loss. SMH Anybody in FL want it?
I have a Corbin. I prefer the harder seats having done a bunch of long distance rides (Socal to the Arctic Circle being the longest). Soft seats will give you serious monkey butt.
I will say it again Corbin is the best. I always try multiple seats (including Mustangs) and always end up with Corbin. Hammock seat was in the middle for me on m8 Heritage
Been running Corbins for a long time. Tried about every brand out there at one time or another and none compared to the Corbin saddles I have or had in the past. I just got a new Hollywood Solo in November and have to say the breaking on this one was surprisingly quick. About 1200 miles it just felt right. For me great back support with or without the pad. Once in awhile my wife wants to ride instead of her own bike. I have a Gunfighter and Lady that easily has over a hundred thousand on it and still looks and rides like it was new. That was 16 years ago.G.
Good thing about Mustang is the detachable backrest support and the fitment is universal. Hence I can install the backrest on either bikes when required. Seat is very plush and wide.
I did ironbutt on the Sports Glide without issues.
I had Ultimate seats on my last three Fatboys. I made sure I kept them when I traded the bikes in. I would have one right now on my 2020 Heritage, but I think the stock seat meets all my needs.
If I do get another seat eventually, it will definitely be the Ultimate. It is the most comfortable seat I have ever ridden on, like riding on a soft cloud on the stairway to heaven.
I had a Corbin on my last bike and have a Mustang on my current bike. No question in my opinion, Corbin is the way to go for extended rides. The firmness of them just works on long rides.
