Default Adding ABS FXBB Help

Hey All. New to the HD world and new to this forum. I picked up a 2020 FXBB and made a list performance upgrades I desire. One of the check boxes is adding ABS. I have successfully done this on other model bikes and was wondering if this is possible with HD's?

The mechanical portion of this process is easy (its just parts, wrenchin`, and a some harness changes). What I am having a hard time finding an answer on is the ECM configuration. Can ABS be configured with digital Tech II (On / Off)?

No- ABS has separate HCU and ECU, and is not plausible below the MFR level.

I would rather sell the bike and buy one with ABS on it then going thru all that hassle if you really want that.

After studying the electrical schematics and reading how the ABS functions on this bike, it appears the EHCU operates independent of the ECM. The only communication between the two computers is a VIN check. I assume this is to ensure the ABS / EHCU uses the correct calibration tables associated with the year/model bike.

Outside of using Dig Tech II to program the EHCU to the bike for recognizing the VIN, adding ABS appears to be all mechanical. I've got a donor bike coming soon, this will be a good experiment.

DT2 does not have an "ABS" enable/disable function. That is a factory setting- do you have access to the factory ECM controls?
