Default abs or not

Regarding the new softails abs or not? I have seen the reports on problems and the recall. But with the new softails and low rider... issue worked out? My current bike does not have abs and if Harley has them working well would definitely consider them.

Harley has had abs for many years . Get abs if you can. It only needs to save ya once and it pays for it self. The system is not really noticeable but sure works.

My first ABS bike was a '13 FLS, didn't get it on purpose it just happened to be on the bike I liked. It saved my butt it a panic situation so now it's a requirement when I get a new bike.

Yeah. Get the ABS.

Queue the guys saying "I can outbrake ABS" and "ABS will kill you" and "I don't want any computer crap on my bike"

Then get ABS anyway.

Get it, it has saved my butt twice... once a guy made an illegal U-Turn and the second time I was lane splitting and had to go hard on the brakes and swerve at the same time. I may not be here without it.

I'm not here to debate the merits of ABS vs Non-ABS; however, I will tell you from per$onal experience that Harley Davidson doesn't have a great track record when it comes to ABS system engineering. When it comes to HD, it's the devil you don't know that usually bites you in a$$.

Yes, I am also curious about your personal experience with Harley’s ABS. Not going to say “I’m alive” because of it, but front ABS on a 2015 Dyna prevented a 40 something mph crash on one occasion for me, And that ONE incident is worth every extra dollar I’ve paid for ABS on EVERY bike I ever optioned it on,
