Default 2019 FXFB brakeline extensions

I was searching for a long time about making brakeline extensions for my Non-ABS fatbob and discovered something today. This brake block is for an ABS-equipped fatbob I picked up second hand to save a few $$$. I was trying to make my own bent hardline to loop the top two ports together when I accidentally dropped the brake block and it came apart. It did not break but I had no idea this was a 2-piece design. Instead of looping these together can I just use the bigger 12x1.0 port with a -3? I cant see anything wrong with this since I dont need to loop this to an ABS block. The only reason I need to keep that piece on there is for the single mounting bolt washer which is the white part in picture 3. Admins please move this to the correct section if I’m in the wrong place.

Brake block out of the box

12x1.0 port for proposed mainline

Distribution port for ABS module (not needed, except for the mounting hole (in white)

Yes you can , you can also make a spacer and use that instead of the piece with the white "washer" on to mount the slitter on the triple tree.

Im in the same situation with you, got the same lines- was curious if you could give more of an in depth explanation or even a line to the extra part to loop it around.

So the extra piece in picture number 3 is now not connected to anything at all. I only left that on because of the white washer part for mounting it to the triple tree. My Fatbob is a non-ABS model so the main line from the front brake reservoir just goes to the big 12-1.0 port in the picture. The -3 port sticking out on the separate piece just sticks out the side but its barely visible

Thanks for this. Literally created this account just to reply. I understand now. Another question, now the -3 port you’re taking about- I ordered a - 3 AN 3 to M12 X 1.0 adapter. Was this the correct part?

this is what I screwed into the distribution block with the inverted flare

and this is attached to that fitting to make a clean connection to the brake reservoir line
