I have a 2019 FLHCS. I AM 72 and am experiencing the rapid onset of arthritis in my hands. I havent ridden since last fall and as it was a nice spring day I was excited to get out for a ride. Unfortunately it was a real struggle and my left hand really hurt with each clutch pull. I had to stop a couple of times to give it a rest.
I would hate to give up riding and hope to find a solution. My quick research has discovered products by Müller and AIM that apparently reduce the pressure required by up to 40%. Unfortunately they only seem to fit M8 touring models and not the Softails.
I also have arthritis problems with my right hand. Anti-inflamatory OTC medications help. Prednisone helps a lot. I find it is worse at the beginning of the riding season and gets better through the summer. I know this is not a mechanical fix to the bike, but it's what helps me.
Yup. The Rekluse clutch pack works great. I would stay with the stock 19 degree ball ramps (2018-2019 models) if I was doing it again. HD has changed the clutch ramps to 21 degrees now. That increases the clutch release travel and makes the clutch pull harder. See attachment.
H-D did this because some people don't adjust the clutch properly and then can't find neutral easily because the clutch is dragging.

ha! I might do video on my YouTube on this. Thanks for sharing this bulletin
Change the levers. Easy fix and makes it easier. The factory ones are really stretched out to grab. I went to some trigger shortys and can pull easily with one finger to clutch now instead of having to mitt the whole clutch lever
