Default Warm up time

I have a 2019 Heritage Softail Classic and was wondering how long do you all usually let your bike warm up before a long ride?

Stock doesn't take long to warm up, couple of minutes from an overnight sit.

Maybe 30 seconds. If you've got good oil pressure, you're good to go.

Main thing is to get the oil circulating. About 30-45 seconds and you can ride on. Take it easy for the first few miles. This is what I do and it hasn't failed me yet.

I let it warm up till I'm under 1200 RPM and when I drop it in first gear the compensator won't slap loud

I back mine out of the garage, start it and let it run while I put my gear on. Hop on, shut it down, toe it into first, pull the clutch in and start it back up to avoid the aforementioned compensator knock. Then putt away, giving it a good 5 miles for everything to get up to temp before hammering it.

Take a look at this video. It's not just on engine break in. I thought they did a nice job explaining on why to warm up the engine. Hope it helps.

You got it right. Video below confirms this about 2/3 of the way through and quotes "the manual".
