Added the 12" Slipstream windshield in Dark Smoke to my Sport Glide. Took it for quick spin around the block and it seemed to really do the trick. We will see as more miles are ridden. But, I do like the look !
Very nice. A common next step in wind mitigation is getting the air that comes under the fairing and over the tank. Small Lowers do a decent job. Gustafson sells a nice pair, and others have fabbed their own. Looking good and that windshield will make a huge difference.
I have the same one in clear. The turbulence was pretty bad so I drilled six, 1 inch round holes laid out across the lower edge a half inch above the fairing. This really helped a lot, I was surprised. Nothing to lose as before the holes I was going to scrap it and go back to stock. Now I am going to buy a Freedom Shield as they are much wider at the top and are thicker so I can drill holes if needed without the worry of cracking. In it's defense, the Slip Streamer has not cracked but another 4-5 inches in width across the top on the Freedom Shield has got to be more efficient at pushing the air past my helmet. Plus the cost is the same !
I got it out and took it for a ride today. I only rode about 40 miles just to putter around and see how the windshield did. Tried it out at varying speeds from 35-90. It's a major improvement from stock. I like it. There is some turbulence but with a full face helmet its no problem. I wore my half helmet some today too for comparison. It is a bit annoying with the half helmet but not even close to how it was stock. For now, I am happy !

I have the same windshield on my Sport Glide and have had the same experience. Way better than stock and with a full face helmet it's almost perfect. Wind noise on the highway is still a bit of a problem. I was hoping the windshield would quiet that down more than it did, but that could also be my helmet.
This is how Gustafsson vents it to remove the turbulence on their 15." It's pretty effective and looks factory professional. But as noted you do still have some minor turbulence that comes under the fairing and up over the tank. Their lower fairing deflectors do take care of this. I'm 6'4 so I had them make me a 17" and lengthen the lowers to the bottom of the fairing where it covers the forks. This has worked great for coverage and to eliminate turbulence and its not too long as the engine gets full air pass through. At my request they also used the thicker glass no charge. In fact if someone is tall and wants to duplicate it Gustafsson can just pull my file off their computer and load it in their machine.
