Bought my FXST last year. Had forward controls installed before leaving the dealer. They are better than the mid controls but need a little more stretch. Has anyone found extended forward controls that will move the foot controls another 3"-4" farther forward? Been trying to check out the HD ones to see if they would fit. They look like they might, the only possible issue is the brake line. Have seen others that don't seem to move the brake cylinder from its current location.
Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Since you had the controls installed at the dealer could you please tell me the length of the shifter linkage rod from center of bolt to center of bolt, I installed mine myself and am having trouble adjusting it. Thank you.
I bought the extended reach seat that moved me back another 1.7 inches and with the forward controls was a good fit, i think lapera goes a full 2 inches back.
i also added 2 inches of foam to my seat under the cover and that made the fit even better.
just the way i went to fit my 6’4” body on it.
what size bars are those? I am wanting to raise my bars now that i have my seat pretty much where i want it.

What seat did you go with? Im looking to move back a bit also.
I have extended forward controls on my bike from thunderbike moved them forward three and a half inches and up , color and style are optional, The shifter and brake lever have six way adjustable for position ,
Well I'll give the stock ones a tank of gas, if that. I've already talked to the Harley parts guy and he has set up a file for me with the part and a discount on it. Just has to push a key on the computer and the forward controls are on the way.
But now I have another question. I believe the primary is chain driven and there will be a certain amount of oil in the primary chain case.
With the 1949s design of my 51 Panhead it was a total loss system. Oil vapour from the breather was piped down to lubricate the primary chain and the excess dripped out of a tube at the rear/bottom of the chain case. Made a mess so I installed a primary belt drive and had the vent direct the oil to the rear chain.
Yes, I have a point. I brought up the instal instructions and I see a shaft has to be removed from the chain case which will leave a hole in the inner and outer cases, if there still is an inner and outer. There is a plug for covering the hole in the outer case but I don't see one for the inner. What is the deal there? Is it just left open? Seems to me water and dirt could get into the chain case. Is there something I am missing?
