I am very much considering to get a Fat Boy (2019 but same as 2021). Sold my LRS (posted about this before) because I found it too harsh in the front and didn't like the seating position. Want something comfortable, both solo and two up, love the looks. Just a bit worried about comfort. Is the FB comfortable? Do the large tires impact positively or negatively how it handles potholes and bad roads? Other option is a heritage but that would need to wait 2 more years, the Fat Boy is 2nd hand and great deal.

If I could only have one bike I'd get The Heritage.
Its a comfort cruiser with the bags, great two up touring bike if you want to go on a trip.

I think of the Fat Boy as my ripping hot rod, railing the turns, getting giggity every time I twist the throttle (obviously a bit of a difference between the 16yo 88 cubed twin cam)

Now, you note having to wait two years!?!?
IMO, get the Fat Boy

I have a BMW r1250r too btw, keeping that as my ‘main’ bike. Fat Boy would be mainly for short trips with wife or daughter, or daytrips with friends with frequent stops. Just dont want something as hard and uncomfy as the lrs, even though it was a very cool bike.

I mean you can always just put saddlebags and a windshield on a fat boy and get the same effect out of the bike as a Heritage.
rear signal relocate, get some Viking Bags hard bags, and windshield.
Heritage... but cooler.

Here you go. The FatBoy I would be getting is a 2019 two-tone (darkgrey/black), has tiny led blinkers front and back, crashbar, swing-arm bag, vance&hines slipons, side number plate, wider bars (originals too), custom mirrors and custom grip and a sissy bar (without cushion).

That color scheme on that fat boy is so sick, I love it.

I have a set of Eliminator 300s on my fatboy and frankly I dont like them. I dont like the look of them in person and I don't like the sound they make when riding. I'm replacing them.
I got a set of street cannons on backorder with HD.

I'm gonna testride the FatBoy this weekend, not entirely 100% sure if I'm willing to spend the money on it, even though it's a good deal I think. But it would be a second bike, so a 'toy'. Quite an expensive toy that is On the other hand, I probably only will walk this giant water ball once and might as well enjoy the things I love. And I guess re-sale value isn't that bad for a customised FatBoy, although they aren't that popular here in Belgium. Neither is Harley for that matter. Small, bad roads and ridiculous speed limits contribute to that.
