I just read the entire thread, loved it. I test rode a FB 114 at a Harley demo day about a month ago. Definitely my favorite Softail model. Wasn't looking to make any changes, but said, "If anything ever happened to my Dyna Low Rider, I'd give the Fatboy a serious look!"

Fran, how did you get the idea to use a 260mm rear?
I dont remember who but someone here suggested it.
Originally I decided against it and went with a 240 tire, because someone said they were getting mid turn wobbles with it.
But after riding corners as much as I did and interested in more performance I said **** it and decide that a 260 was worth at least trying.
