Default Kodlin Lowering kit

Has anyone used the Kodlin lowering kit. Most of what I can find about it online seems to be positive. Does anyone have any input on this before I pull the trigger?
Thanks!

I too am looking at the Kodlin lowering kit. I haven't ordered yet, I was hoping to find someone in town who already has the spring compression tool that I could "borrow". It sucks that the spring tool is the same cost as the kit.

Yah, I was thinking the same thing. Didn't really want to buy the tool for more or less a one time use.

Didn't do Kodlin, I did the Progressive monotube kit. Lowered the front on my wife's FLDE by 2". I didn't use a tool. I brute forced with my hands by pushing down really hard. Once, I could not get one and took it up to the dealership and they just had a guy in the back do it and didn't charge me. I asked if to meet him and tipped him $20. Way better than a compression tool. Maybe call your dealership and ask them what they would charge just to screw the tops back on for you if you had them assembled, filled with oil and ready to go.

hseidel:
I have the Kodlin Lowering kit on my 2019 Fatboy S.
It was extremely easy to install. I am 5' 7" with a 29" inseam so the extra drop allows me to flat foot the bike with tennis shoes even though that is not what I ride with.
I looked and research all the others and for the cost and the fact that it is simple to reverse if needed I installed it and am totally satisfied. I wanted the back to drop and had no interest in dropping the front.

I have the kodlin on my bike to lower a 13.1" Fat Bob Shock I'm using.
I got the cheapest spring compressor I could find.
It was like wrestling an alligator, you have to be smart and tough to get it done.

Mike:
If you are the age your user name implies then you are like me where you need to call 911 to send someone to get you off the floor after you are working on the under side of the bike.
I bite the bullet for the Kodlin compressor and it was a piece of cake. Now that piece of cake is in the garage getting stale. But I did not have to call 911 this time.

Yep, I'm 67 and do not want to wrestle that spring using the cheap tool again.

Mike, you are just a teenager. I just had my bike painted as my Birthday present from my wife. 75 in July but she allowed me to do it early while he had the free time.
In 8 more years email me and let me know what it is like to be on your knees for an hour or so working or cleaning your bike and then try to stand up.
Every time I get down on the garage floor to work on the bike there are two Buzzards that land on the house next door and watch me to see if I am going to make it.

Or maybe She doesn't think I'll be around in July and she wanted to get the worth of the bike as high as she could before I'm gone. Now it will be hard to sleep very sound.

Does this change the Jiffy Stand position any when parking? Well, to any level of concern?
