Hey all, I just had my low rider s tuned up during its first service and here are the results. Im running a two brothers shorty turnout pipe and a s&s 475 cam with the stock air intake fitted with a k&n filter. Just wondering if these numbers are typically whats expected. It was tuned at the dealer using a technoresearch tuning key.
Any ideas whats causing the dip on torque? Im guessing the pipe from what Ive read.
Yea it'll be the dump pipe mate , maybe baffle it or grab one of those TTI things. Is the air/fuel ratio part of the graph available ? That'd tell the story.
I'm by no means an expert but that's one of the weirdest dyno charts I've ever seen...those lines are crazy. Lol. But I agree...your dip is from the pipe.
Tbrs are known to be one of the worst if not the worst performing 2-1 for the m8 softails. Definitely causing the dip in torque that large. Dont sweat it too much as pretty much every short 2-1 you find will cause something similar.
fuel moto has tested all of them and says there is no short 2-1 out there that doesnt have the torque dip at the beginning, some are just larger than others

Agreed, it's a Softail/exhaust thing.
If it's fun to ride don't worry about it.

The dip is normal on softails due to there short exhaust systems in comparison to the long exhaust systems on baggers. The weight savings of the softails you wont feel the dip. I have a 128 build in my Breakout and i dont feel it and nobody has beaten me on a bagger since its installation.
Thanks for all the replys , yup Im not going to worry about it, its a fun ride and in 2 years after the warranty period I might change it up and see how it goes.

I don't know about warranties in Australia, but in the US you have already voided the warranty by adding the pipe, changing the cam, and using an aftermarket tuner. You might want to check on that.
