I’m new to the Harley world purchased a 21 softail slim put intake and exhaust on and got the tuner but can’t find the DLC plug I believe it’s called if anyone could assist would be appreciated
aj2287, the connector for the engine control module (ECM) should be easily accessible by removing the lefthand side cover. It may have a dead mating connection that you'll need to pull to expose the connector since usually this connector is only used tuning or reading trouble codes.
Do you have the Screamin' Eagle tuner, including the adaptor for '21 models? The ECM itself was changed for the '21 model year and the mating connector you need is therefore different. As of right now, the Screamin' Eagle EPA compliant tunes are likely the only option. The usual makers of tuning devices and maps (Vance & Hines, DynoJet, etc.) have not yet released their products for the '21 model year bikes with M8 motors because they're still figuring out the new ECM.
Yeah screaming eagle tuner and found the plug . I originally found it but the plug harley gave me wasn’t the right one because 2021 they switched it up so got it figured out thank you
