I tried to like the stock bars and just wasn't liking them. I went with Burly Bikini Beach bars. Way better, I can lean back and just cruise. I was leaning forward with the stock bars.
Yeah! They look great.
I also tried to like the stock bars. I think they look good, but I struggle to find them comfortable, even at 61. Reach isnt an issue, I just dont dig how it feels to ride with them.
Also I like the look of lower bars on it, like a Hydra Glide look or something.
They're perfectly fine comfort wise for me. I just wish they were a bigger diameter. Looks like two black licorice twizzlers sticking up in the air especially with the windshield off.
They look great in chrome though so go back to it which is how handle bars should be. I don't know who hypnotized all you droogies out there into thinking that all blacked out motorcycles looked good but y'all deep throated and swallowed the Kool-Aid.
I persevered for 12 months with the OEM bars and then fitted some beach bars. Like others, narrow and high just doesn’t work for me either.Couldn’t be happier!
My socks wont fit everyone correctly. When a baby comes home from the hospital for the first time.. he gets socks. They are a starting point, but he grows past those socks. His needs change.
First if anyone wants to wear my socks well thats kinda weird. Second, I wear a 13 EEEEE. So for some my socks are more like sleeping bags.

Hmmm....I could use a more comfortable bar, for me I like the narrower width on the stock bar, but they seem a bit tall and reach for me. Bikini Beach Bar looks like too much adjustment.
Anybody know of a bar that keeps the narrow width but lowers and lengths a bit?
I like the way Beach Bars look on the Heritage but that's the only thing I like about them. I had a Triumph Speed Master with Beach Bars on it very uncomfortable and made the handling in corners harder to navigate.

Cool. I made that post four years ago but thanks for your input. I'm enjoying my larger diameter black bars on my Road Glide now, in case you were wondering.

Theres the HD Reach bar, which apparently doesnt actually improve reach all that much but is a lower bar which is narrower than beach bar styles.
I was initially considering the reach bar but it seems difficult to get hold of in the UK whereas the Lowrider bar was in stock.

The Heritage's taller bars can feel a bit awkward at first, especially coming from the Fatboy's lower stance. Since you're 5'7, you might find them less comfortable on longer rides they put your arms higher, which can strain shoulders over time. If you dig the bike otherwise, swapping to mini-apes or pullbacks (like the Fatboy's) is an easy fix. Test ride one if you can sometimes they feel better once you're moving. If not, budget for a bar swap and you'll be golden.
