Default Do you like the stock Heritage bars?

I had a Fatboy Lo and Street Glide Special that I have sold.
Both were completely stock and were very comfortable. I'm shorter (5'7) and the Fatboy just seemed to fit me better.
Considering a new Heritage and sat on one yesterday. The higher bars didn't seem as comfortable just sitting on it in the show room. Wondering if I will end up liking them or not?

They're perfectly fine comfort wise for me. I just wish they were a bigger diameter. Looks like two black licorice twizzlers sticking up in the air especially with the windshield off.

After riding a '94 FLSTN, with its low, wide bars for 25 years, I didn't like the high, narrow (and black) bars on the Heritage. I wanted a bend I was used to, and ended up going with the stock bars from the FXLR Low Rider. They were the closest I could find that were compatible with internal wiring and TBW.

What year FXLR bars did you get, this is what I would like to do.

I used handlebars from a 2018/19 Low Rider, part number 55800693. No wiring or cable changes were needed.

Default 2021 Heritage 114

Comfortable so far after 300 miles. Will leave them in current position thru break-in. Never would have thought to pull back a tad, may try that. Ride Safe

Only one way to find out, you gotta ride one. For me, just around the block wasn't enough, I rented one and put 200 miles on it in a day to make sure it was a good fit.

Revisiting this thread as I just ordered the Lowrider bars to put on my Heritage. They look great on yours.

Were you able to just leave the clutch/brake lines attached while swapping? I’m guessing since the cables all remain the same length I can just unplug electrical cables and reroute them through the bars and leave the brake/clutch alone.

The workshop manual says to remove brake/clutch line but I’m guessing that’s just standard practice and only needed where different lengths are needed.

I tried to like the stock bars and just wasn't liking them. I went with Burly Bikini Beach bars. Way better, I can lean back and just cruise. I was leaning forward with the stock bars.
