Garage door button for my Heritage
Made the bracket for the button with an offset. The first one was flat and the back of the button Then coated the back of the button with several coats of liquid electrical tape to insulate the back. Also used a longer rear tank bolt, 3/8"-18, 4.5" with nylon lock nut. Had to use extra washers because of the mount for the tank and didn't want the acorn nut hitting the seat.
Soldered wires onto the circuit board for a key chain remote
Ran the wires under the seat to the right side cover.
Drilled a small hole into this, ran the wires for the circuit board through. Set the board into the key holder, coated the hole with liquid electrical tape to keep it water tight. The key holder comes with a magnet on the back. It can be taken off and has 2 slots on the back to slide a zip tie through.
Zip tied it in place.
These items worked out well for me. Someone may know of better products or could improve on this set up. Hope this helps someone who is looking for something like this.
