Well it might be better to just get the Cobra 909 if that is what you are really wanting since there is no plan to do a cam any time soon. HOPEFULLY there won't be a huge hit to performance. I was able to tell with data from a short 2-1 exhaust vs a longer 2-1 exhaust by comparing the VE tables on my bike.
I know sound can be a big deal. Whichever exhaust you choose to go with, I would def factor in a tune.
Yes for me the sound is important, I always love good deep tone loop from Harleys...And sure M8 sounds different then twin-cam but after hearing these Cobra sound clips on youtube I can say I can feel them heh
So probably yes I will buy these Cobras I guess, they cost about 800$ here in Slovenia and yes I also HOPE it wont be big negative impact on performance! Yes for tuner I am thinking to go with V&H FP3 (they are most popular and easy to get here in Europe)...Also planning to put on V&H hi-flow air filter at the same time...
I personally went with the Cobra El Diablo 2-1 full system and was extremely pleased. Got lots of compliments on looks and sound. It was a very noticeable difference vs stock combined with the SE Pro Street tuner (warranty). I can guarantee that a legit custom tune via PV would have gained even more power. To each their own I suppose, but I actually prefer the sound of a 2-1 myself. The Cobra system is very cost effective and leaves room to grow. Next on myist is the D&D system, then the Trask, as far as performance per dollar. Trask is very high dollar, but both are built good and will leave room for a bigger cam etc in the future. The El Diablo system is deep and rumbly without being too loud.
