IBE yes you're correct in the "on the move at speed" situation but at stop lights or slow moving thru traffic it might keep you in the loop, or at start up you could get real time info on your warm up.
I'm not saying buy it or don't buy it , just saying it might not be a dead end .

My thoughts exactly and biggest factor will be seeing small changes and not catastrophic and too late anyway.
Start up, red lights and after a run will be plenty worth it to see what is going on as even the hottest of days will show up and let ya know how she is feeling. Maybe for some time for an oil change.
