For an extra thousand dollars, they installed the V&H 300s Nice looks. Nice low end rumble. Not too loud. She is very pleased.
Personally I have heard the Cobras in person and are nice. They would be in the running if I were to get a 2018+ Heritage. As Ryan mentioned, the TABs are great too. For me, I am pretty-much set on the zombies but the 2.25" have a nice sound for most. I don't do the whole rev thing so I think the zombies will be fine for me.
Ouch, $1,000? I picked up those mufflers for less than $500 and it took 10 minutes to swap them out. I guess that would be why they call them stealerships.
The bummer about V&H is that I have a next to new set of slash-cuts in my garage that were on my Dyna. I'm pretty sure they are the same except for the mounts of course...I wonder if I could mod them up to fit the Softail?
I don't like really loud mufflers. So I bought the S&S slash cuts from Fuel Moto. They said they are their go to slip on mufflers for Softails for making power. They would know

So true. Yeah the pipes were about $500 or so. The tuner was like $250. The labor was like $150.
No worries. They "may not meet EPA emissions and noise guidelines and may be restricted to off-road use only" So, you will never see or hear them on the road. LOL

10 minutes, wow! It took me that long to loosen the bolts. I have the V&H Eliminator 300's and it took me over an hour. Couldn't get the mufflers on, need to get a big *** hammer and a piece of wood and had to pound them on using the mounting brackets. It was a beotch!

That's one of the nice things about doing it on a brand new bike, it has 3 miles on it so they should slide right off/
