I have a reason to thing I might have a slight intake leak. It's really hard to spray anything around the intake on these M8's because there is so much stuff in the way. I have read a tip for checking for a leak but have read two different versions. Pull in the clutch and close the throttle. One source said the revs should drop to zero if there is NO leak. That makes sense to me. The other version said if the revs drop to zero there is a leak. So which is it. Appreciate any input on this or any other tips
Like 702 aksed(lol) , a high idle could mean an air leak in the intake.
Spraying WD around a bike to find an air leak is a good thing , it always makes bike bits look shiny new.
An air leak will pop or explode under acceleration and possibly pop and fart on decel depending on where the leak is.
An erratic idle could be an intermittent air leak or electrical fault.
Bike idle is stable. Isn't high. It sounds like it is running slightly rough at idle. Fuel Moto suggested I check for an intake leak. There is so much stuff in the way I can't even see a lot of the intake. Much less spray anything around the seals.

Maybe there is nothing wrong, that 22x cam will have alot more idle lope than a stock M8.

I got same cam installed by FM idle is set at 950rpm just so you know. I also used torch to check for leaks on my previous bikes it is not messy.
