Just a curiosity question. Is there enough chain slack to remove the compensator without removing the clutch? Either way I'm going to replace my ramp but was just wondering disturbing the clutch was absolutely necessary.

No, you will have to remove the clutch, but you shouldn't need to dissemble it.

I just did it a little while ago and yes there's more than enough slack.
I have an M8 Fat Boy 114, I didn't have to touch my clutch hub at all.
