I see the fat 4" pullback risers for the Heritage and the sport glide share the same part number. I put them on my sport glide without any cable change.
I would extend everything. I went up 4" in bar height on my Heritage and I can't imagine the brake cable would have been long enough lock to lock. The wiring seemed like it would have been close but I extended everything just to be sure and I recommend the same going up 4"
I put a set of 4” pullback risers on my 2021 Heritage and I did not have to replace any cables or extend the wiring. I had the risers from a previous bike so it did not cost me anything. The aftermarket risers are not expensive, I suggest that you buy yourself a set and give them a try.
I bought 4" inch extension for like $35 bucks when I did a 2.5" riser on my Fat Bob. I might have been able to pull and yank and get enough slack, but for $35 it made the process so much easier. No brainer and no downside to just extend them. Turn signal extensions
I had to loosen and rotate the banjo fitting on the front brake just to give it a bit more slack. Clutch cable was plenty long enough with a slight re-routing.
When I added a 4" riser on my 2019 FXLR, I had to replace the cable on the throttle side, but wiring and clutch side were OK. I also replaced the riser bushing with a higher quality one; the OEM rubber bushing won't take the additional leverage of a higher riser. (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...ngs-for-harley)

I ordered the Custom Dynamics canbus wire extenders for $30. They look to be plug and play. Will let you guys know how this turns out. thx for the feedback
This thread reminded me that I'm planning on doing bars and since everything is backordered through HD I'd get a jump start on ordering the little bits like wire extensions. Looked up the part number they have for the "switch wire extensions" for the fat mini-ape (69201794) says it's an 18" extension! Anyone know if this just means total length or do they really intend for us to extend wires by 18"?! $27 from surdyke currently so pretty comparable to the custom dynamics
