From my experience with Saddleman. I had the Dominator solo. Hated it. It's a brick. I tried a road sofa and it was horrible. The wife has a Sundowner and I can ride on that all day.
That's just me. You'll get more probably says that Saddleman is better. Everyone is different but for me. The best seats I've ever had were from Harley. I have the P&A low profile solo and have had it on my last 3 bikes. Best seat I've ever had. And I've ran it to Wyoming to Maine to South Carolina.
I actually use the Sundowner on my Low Rider S and also had one on a street bob and I really like it. What bike do you have?
21 Street Bob. It seems like theres going to be give and take to both of them. Seems like sundowner is going to be more plush and comfortable overall but the saddlemen will offer more back support. I know the saddlemen is a little more streamlined but I dont care about that. Whole goal is to be able to ride it long enough that I dont need to have it parked long enough for you to look at it!

I had the exact same experience with Saddlemen, my butt just doesn't agree with them whatsoever. Within 30 miles I was ready to ditch the bike and walk home.
Thanks everyone who has replied so far. Youre swaying my decision a little. Going to dealer tomorrow going to demo the sundowner, I know theyre an authorized saddlemen retailer but not sure theyll have demos to actually take out and ride. It is what it is the bike is a blast to whip around and its not meant to be a touring bike but theres got to be some happy medium between sitting on a sofa and sitting on the stock seat library book!
Op I run a sundowner on my bob. Wanted a saddlemen for appearance but the sundowner was more comfy, wiser pan for myself and the passenger. Gf can ride comfortable as well.

Have the EXACT same bike, thanks for the visual!! Difference is I have the standard sized sissy bar. Bike is a blast! Had an 02 Road King before, didnt know how Id like going to a softail but with the 114 I was like a little kid every time I went back to test ride one! Doesnt ruin the lines of the bike even close to as much as I thought it would!
I had a Sundowner on my Sport Glide for a couple years. Even had it repadded by Mean City Cycles. I never felt comfortable after a couple hours or so. I switched to a Saddlmen Explorer last November. No long trips yet, but so far its been more comfortable for 2 hour rides.

My wife made it 15 miles on the Dominator ppad and said take her home and swore she'd never ride on it again. Lol.

My dealer was an authorized Saddleman dealer. They had enough complaints and returns they told Saddleman to take the display out.
