Recently purchased a new Heritage about a month ago and I have noticed the idle is rough(eratic).
Hot idle is 790-940.EITMS on it idles 1000 and has a smooth idle.I have owned several twin cams that idle smooth, just wondering if the idle on the m8 is normal?By the way its all stock. Thanks
Yeah thats normal. The MoCo lowered the idle in the M8 to about 850 RPM to try to imitate the lope of a traditional Harley-Davidson. It does hunt a bit between 800-900 RPM. Mine does the same thing.

My 21 did that, and so does my 22. I'd like to bump up my idle about 50 RPM with my TR but HD has us locked out. It can be done with certain types of tuners, but if you do, poof, warranty gone.

who wants a warranty anyway? Go aftermarket stage 2 with an actual cam lope.
