Is this a normal idle??

Default Is this a normal idle??

2020 Harley fat bob 114 and my idle seems to be a bit erratic bouncing at times from 790-930. Is this normal or is something going on? The dealer looked it over and replaced the intake seals..the idle is improved but still bouncing.

There is lots on this, try searching. Are you sure you are not experiencing the EITMS? Mine has always had an erratic idle. I was told by 2 different tuners that it is normal for the M8. I even went as far as to remove the plastic intake and install the aluminum one. Didn't help. I am just going to live with it.

Nope, not right...my 2020 Heritage 114 idles smooth. Any mods that could be affecting your bike's idle?

My heritage 114 has a slightly varying idle by maybe 100 rpm... My gut on yours is a vacuum leak.... How does it run at speed? What happens say at 40 mph/4th gear or 5th gear at a loafey RPM? Does it bog or stall?

Mine fluctuates at idle, always has. Stage 2 with a dyno now, and I expected it to.
HD's MAPS I've found need tweaked but wait for the warranty to run out

I'd be curious about this issue too. I have a '18 FXFBS and want to know the solution to the problem. It was mentioned earlier if any mods were installed as I am ready to update my oil pump in mine and can look at the cam installed. In addition, I will probably use my smoke machine in the intake to determine if there are any vacuum leaks.

I looked at videos on youtube of 114s stock vs 114s with a torque cam and the idle def seems to be noticeable.

If it's not a leak it could be the Throttle body, a lot of EFI vehicles get idle surges because of it, there's sprays and **** for it.
I put a half can of that Subaru top end cleaner through mine just before I added some timing and fuel to the tune for a good feedback loop.

Every M8 I've seen idle at operating temp fluctuates, I have a difficult time believing anyone says it's steady. Reminds me of the hot oil check BS
A lil food for your minds:
You should occasionally run a fuel additive to clean carbon deposits off the internals. I do, always have.
I use seafoam, but, recently read about amsoil's P.i. Performance Improver Gasoline Additive. I've been ordering their Vtwin 20-50 oil by the case for years and just now thinking about this.
Factor in that with I said about the MoCo's MAPs. They need tweaked, but, only after the warranty expires.
Their Dyno Tune is not a tune at all, all they do is run the dyno to make sure the MAP is compatible. My experience, tthey do NOT fine tune the perimeters in the said MAP. Been there, done that a couple of times. Waste of money on the dyno.
