Reconnecting Or Replacing Handlebar Wiring Solution

Hey Fellas,

So it appears I have a pinch wire after doing my bars. Does anyone have a good way to find and fix? I was thinking about replacing the wiring with a guerrilla cables ultimate kit and soldering them in. Not sure what the best solution would be... Looking at Harley parts, it doesn't appear to be plug and play into the controls.

there are tools for chasing these gremlins, not sure if it warrants the purchase for a one time deal.

if time allows, you can always disassemble the bars, reconnect wiring and start wiggling...they are coming apart anyway for new wiring

A simple continuity test will help you figure out which wire was compromised. Then fix the wire, solder, crimp connections, what ever works for the situation.

No reason to change an entire harness, good luck.

I recommend removing the switches from the ends of the bars now and looking for it. It'll probably be where the switches clamp on the end of the bars.
