they should be close, the SG fender is an option I may use, but i also found a yaffe fender that is stock appearing but flash mounts the plate. ..then I will use a run/stop/flash module for the side markers.
All wrapped up. Gonna be a long few months now counting down the days until Spring, but will give me time to fab up a short quick release sissy bar to strap a weekend pack to if ever needed. Will also be fabing a small section of vinyl covering to hide the tank dash bolt by the seat thats exposed now. LRS stock seat has extra material and cushion at this area to hide the bolt.
For anyone considering any like conversion, know that the LRS has a separate brake light connector while the FatBob has its brake wiring within the smaller two turn signal connectors (No third larger connector). Without 4 wire turn/stop side markers and splicing youre SOL. I have the added center for daytime running and turn and spliced separately for the license plate white led light to work. Even added the custom dynamics strobe for the brake lights to give myself that added chance of avoiding stupidity running into the back of me. Lastly, I used VHT black vinyl die spray on the seat to eliminate the white stitching that clashed badly with the rest of the bike. Almost forgot. To use the dominion axle cover with the plate bracket, youll need to grind down and repaint it to fit inside the bracket with enough room to still secure and cover the axle.
[QUOTE=WellAimedRound;20975903]What happens when a low rider s slams into a fat bob ..This! Just test fit for now until slight paint and front seat section mods are complete along with led mini lighting to be added. Just gotta figure out where to put the license plate since I like my swingarm bag where it is.
This is so cool. I've been think about doing this exact thing and now that my FXLRST is almost ready for the highway I'm in the planning stage for a second bike that's stripped down for around town. I'm curious about the fender and how off center it looks. Is this an optical illusion, is something bent or loose or what is causing the weirdness? I was planning on skeletonizing the struts by cutting out the concave parts, but maybe they need to be remade and shifted to the side. About the license plate, I'm hoping to mount it above the fender like a muscle car spoiler. Since it's been a few years since this post maybe we can hear from the builder. Kudos!

This was just the mock up before final install. Went with an axle mount license plate holder.
Nice and clean. I'm looking for an aggressive seating position, how does this compare to the original position. Any issues with the fender, struts, seat, gas tank fitment that you'd warn me about? Do you think the street bob or fat bob tank would fit better?
Those look like the Kodlin ones. Yaffe makes some as well. I run them on my Street Bob. They are bright and clean looking, but not as noticeable as the stockers.
WellAimedRound, I used your research and install to Fat Rider my FXLRS. I posted in the what have you done thread, still wanted to thank you personally. The lighting and the tag were the biggest PITA, the fender bolts right up.
Looks great! I am in the information gathering stage of making this same conversion to my '22. Did you grab these FB parts from a dealership or secondhand somewhere? Cheers
