Buy one from FuelMoto USA.
They're one time use per ECM. It marries to your ECM and if you want to use it on another bike you need to buy another license.
And you dont want to reset the VSS you want to calibrate it.

How to do a simple calibration:
Go out on the freeway with a GPS tool, like one on your phone. set cruise control at 70mph GPS and then read the speedometer.
Make sure to wait for the GPS to have a stable speed reading.
Then set at 85~90mph and see how fast the GPS actually reads.
Now take the numbers you got between the 2 readings, divide the Speedometer reading by the GPS reading.
Say at 70mph GPS your Speedo reads 73mph. That's 1.042856(rounded)
Say at 90mph GPS your Speedo reads 94mph, thats 1.0444

Add the 2 together then divided by 2.
You get 1.0435628
You now take this new average number and times the current VSS number by this amount.

So your VSS stock might be 2062, 2062*1.0435628=X
the end result you get is X=2151.825(rounded)
Round to nearest whole number.

2152 is now your calibrated VSS.
