Just had my motor built , Twin cam , had the guy check out my compensator since he had to pull it out anyway . He asked if I had just replaced it cause it doesn't look worn , nope , factory original with 36K on it.

I've always run this in my primary , same as Baker . . .

I think the TC`s were a more robust platform all around - they had Comp issues but it just seems like the newer bikes are better left stock.

don’t forget the crooked cranks and the valve train noise. I do agree that if you leave the m8 stock it will still have more power than most tc builds.

Hmmm...not sure I said that but if thats what you think? What built TC`s have you compared a stock M8 too? I run a stock 103 & a stock M8107 doesn't impress me at all.

I had a 113" TC, took head work, pistons, cams, pipes, increased compression, to get the same power as my 114" M8 with only a pipe and a cam.

yep my 2012 dyna 103 with S&s hp103 cams milled and ported heads came in at 102 hp with 112 Torks. My 114 m8 with the woods 22xE cam is pushing somewhere around 120 hp to 130 Torks now that’s robust!

Not being cruel but whoever built your TC sucked, a stock Freedom 106 Vic will dust off the 107 & hang with a 114.

2016 TC 110 dyno`s at 84.32 Max power & Max torque 98.02 - Out of the Box

2017 M8 114 dyno`s at 85.52 Max Power & Max Torque 109.94 - Out of the box, I dont know............maybe it was sumping, transferring or having a bad day??????

All I can say is you guys must have bought special 114 M8`s, or I got a special 103???? cause stock to stock I run right with that 114 heritage. I dont know............. rode em all - the 107 is not worth the cost to jump up & the 114 is noticeable but still not worth the price of admission. I ride with a small group every now & then who have M8`s some modified - yes those bikes will leave me, but stock to stock - Nope! sad thing is the one guy in the group has a Challenger & he dusts those modded M8`s off & he is stock, .

I figure as long as I can go fast enough to get a speeding ticket thats all I need.

Did you even read the beginning of this thread?

How did you get so sideways with thread crapping?

Nowhere am I asking any of you to drop trow and brag about some numbers on a piece of paper, be it the dyno sheet, your bill of material for your build, or an accounting of how much money you threw away on it. Pull your pants up and stop dragging your dick. This thread is about drivetrain compensators, not getting sidetracked on someone's parts list for a few more ponies at the rear wheel.

Save that talk for the pit racers BSing at the bar, at the end of race day.

Haven't even had my first cup of coffee this morning after a bitchin 120 mile ride through a nice selection of roads in the Santa Monica Mountains in CA, past Pt Mugu, where the Navy Blue Angels were putting on demonstration flights yesterday. My ancient, slow, POS 2018 Sport Glide with the crummy stock 107 M8 did just fine keeping up with Crazy Hueys stage 2 modded 107 Street Glide, and huffed and puffed a bit keeping up with my other buddies 117 El Diablo. I just got to the next light or stop sign a little slower than them, they had to wait a bit for me. I'd rather enjoy my ride time than race to the next stop, only to sit there and wait, holding in the clutch the whole time.

Retired, life is not a race for me any more, to the last finish line, the coffin. I'm trying to buy time to live a little longer instead.
