getting this right is vital...
i say that, as Durham man sent me a set of LA Choppers 1" riser spacers. For me, on a stock seat Lowrider S ( i am 6-6-1" and 255 lbs...) that spacer alone, relaxed my reach enough that it aggravates the tendon in my right elbow on a decent ride. I prefer were the bars are stock.

i appreciate him sending me those parts, but they will be coming off and being passed forward...

IF ANYONE WANTS TO TRY THEM, SHOOT ME A PM and we get them sent out, they will be coming off with a few days of this post.

So on my Low Rider ST, once I install the new seat, I am looking at how to move the bars closer to me. Now I have read about 6 up and 2 back... and while I am happy with their height I have currently do I need to raise the height it I am just seeking to bring them closer? I am not finding risers with just pull back. I thought the stock height was 4.5 or 5. Are there plates that just provide offset back towards the rider and would that work as well?
The cleanest way is with all new risers in my humble opinion. Find the height you want, then the pull back. Both height and pull back can be done with risers and or bars or both. Having done a bar swap on my Fat Bob, I tried to avoid that on my LRST. The stock bars are fine, just not in the right spot. Here is a pic I found that compares the stock LRST Risers with the Thrashin 6.5" with 2" pull back for comparison. (not my pic but shows the difference pretty well)

Like with a BJ, quality matters.

The Kraus stuff is really top notch. If they had a 6.5" riser I would have bought that instead of the Thrashin Risers. They have a 6" now but not when I was looking. If I decide to go with 8" I will use Kraus. The fit and finish on theirs is really nice.

on 20-21 models you can go up to 6.5. You have to reroute clutch cable. Turn down brake line banjo fitting. Pull a little of the turn signal wire through bars. Very easy install. Drag specialties are cost effective for 20-21 models. 6.5 will be maxed out. 5.5 is a more common size as it is a little less stress.

Well I am learning, on my previous brand I slipped bar backs under the existing bars but wasn't sure how it would work out on this bike, I need to look at simply rolling the bars and then adjusting both controls to insure they stay comfortable as well. it might be all I need. once I get some miles on the new seat, maybe see it by end of month, I have will be able to make my final adjustments

Can you refit the stock instrument dial on the Thrashin risers? Or do they offer an alternative mount like Kraus do?

the Thrashin comes with a top clamp that the digital gauge fits into just like the stock top clamp.

There's a bunch or places making pullback plates LA Choppers, FXR Division, Slyfox, OG Garage, Thrashin, TMF Cycles, Speek Kings to name a handful. Some with a price a bit more digestible. Risers stuff though, I don't F around because I dont want to find out. I buy good bushings, good risers, good hardware so I don't have to ghostride the mf'r if one snaps off
