Heres the bike.
2018 Heritage 107 with 58,000 miles totally stock.
Today a a stop light sitting in traffic my idle went from 840 to 950-1050 rpms. Idle became rough. Once the light changed and I rolled on the throttle it was good
Did this a few more times at stops lights.
I do have the EITMS enabled and have since I purchased the bike new in 2018.
Seems like it wants doesnt know what it wants to do.
The red code light came on so when I got home. I checked it out and I got a BCM Y message so I guess that stands for body control module?
I did get gas on the way to work and the bike ran fine. My commute to work is 35 miles one way and 30 of those are highway miles.
Took it out again after my check and it took sitting at about 8 or 9 lights before it did it again.
No other riding issues other than that.
I have the Harley ESP and I am going to take it in but I figured I would throw this out there and see if anyone experienced this.
Turn off the EITMS? Run it for awhile and refill the tank with different gas?
Sheetz is where I got the gas and is the most common gas around here.
While not top tier I have never had the issue I am having now. Maybe just a coincidence.
Do you have the error code number?
BCM is the body control module yes.
We need the error code to make things easier. Elevated rough idle could mean your manifold was a tiny crack or warp in it.
But lets see what the BCM says first.
I think you should check your intake manifold for leaks. You could direct a bit of butane from an unlit torch (carefully) around the manifold with your motor idling. If rpm's change you've found your issue. Maybe some of the smart kids can chime in with something safer to use....
