all right all, looking for what most seem to think is the best back rest option for a Lowrider S. obviously black, prefer Mid-height quick release. this is simply for the few slightly longer riders with a passenger and then mainly a bag for the solo runs.
it appears the Harley low and mid seem unavailable in most cases...and since they are chinese made anyway, i figured any likes or dis-likes of one from amazon would be welcomed to know. i see many choices, some with holdfasts, some with a rear luggage shelf (maybe not a bad option)...
so post up, shoot a link or give me your feedback...looking to grab something soon.
just to be clear, i am looking for opinions related to a PASS BACK REST. not one for myself, i was originally thinking low height. But, it should offer some comfort, so a mid height seems better, and then would allow a bag when riding solo.
i was going to grab a quick purchase from Amazon, and curious if anyone else has done the same. Any good options, better options...overall quality of product.
Harley's back rest suck, the mounting is not stable, those 2 half clamps are a joke.
After losing one pad because of those inadequate half clamps, I drilled through them into the sissy bar and tapped them (10-32), red loctite, then painted the screw heads black. Hopefully this works.
