I swapped to a new 1/4-20 Grade 8 bolt, and will now do the recall 5/16 bolt and nut myself. I'm not going to let the jr tech start drilling over my bike with no regards to shavings. It takes all of 10 minutes to do and 3 of those minutes is to run upstairs and get a beer.
To be fair, that is the most critical part of the procedure.
He does ? That is a new one on me, what is with the attitude ?
Let’s just say you started this “attitude” thing by pretty much belittling anyone that didn’t want to do this recall repair on their own. For myself I’m not as handy as some and frankly even if I was I’m not going to take a chance on screwing something up and give Harley an excuse to give me any **** or worse yet me f’ing up a 20 some thousand $ bike when I can have it done for free at a dealer.
So mind your own business, I’m sure you have a lot to take care of

Seems to me like he was just keeping it real. It's OK if you don't have the skills to change a bolt, no need to trash mouth those of us that can.
