I swapped to a new 1/4-20 Grade 8 bolt, and will now do the recall 5/16 bolt and nut myself. I'm not going to let the jr tech start drilling over my bike with no regards to shavings. It takes all of 10 minutes to do and 3 of those minutes is to run upstairs and get a beer.

The dealer can't get the parts, what they don't have any hardware stores near them ? It is a 5/16 bolt and lock nut, nothing special.
