Thanks - looked them up - good suggestions, though a touch too dark… though nice

It’s a tricky one… the original US Navy colour for the U models was actually pretty light

BMW ‘Brooklyn Grey’ is nice, though again a bit darker - similar to ‘Nardo’ but a touch lighter and a hint of blue in there

Hmm… might end up needing to go darker if I can’t find anything else

Something lighter....
ok, how about Ferrari's light grey (blue) color Grigio Alloy or light grey Grigio Ferro

Alternatively, how about something from the RAL Grey colour pallet.

Thanks for those, appreciate it.

They’re nice, but not quite right.

BUT I think I’ve found a winner.

I went past a local BMW dealer today and had a look at Brooklyn Grey cars - luckily they had one inside and one outside

It’s lighter than the ubiquitous ‘Nardo grey’ you see everywhere and has a very faint hint of blue to it - so it’s a shade darker than the original US Navy ‘U’ model grey, but pretty close in colour… and I actually like it being a touch darker.

So Brooklyn Grey it is.

I’ve got my painter booked for the end of the month

Just got to choose a tank logo design now. I’ll post an updated mock-up when I get around to it.

Haven’t put in mock or finished but I wouldn’t put beach bars on a bicycle…but to each their own

Hmm... I can't decide...

Brooklyn is darker and up close it's got a slight metallic texture and in the flesh looked really nice, Avalanche is lighter and more or a 'solid' old school finish, but I've not seen it in the flesh.

I think I like the more old-school 'enamel' finish of Avalanche... but is it too light?

Obviously these are just Photoshopped mockups...
