Got a call from my HD dealer yesterday, my Screaming Eagle fork kit arrived and will be installed next friday.......hurray!
Also called the Indie where I purchased the Ohlins HD506 yesterday, and they still couldn't give me an update. I cancelled the order as 4 months is beyond reasonable. Went to the HD website and placed an order for the SE rear shock as it showed in stock, received shipment tracking number this morning, so I should have it by next week.
I'm hoping to get some more riding in before snowmobile season to evaluate the expenditure
thanks
brian
If I had thought about it I could have let them know in front of the crowd their products are good but what’s up with their production? Also someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Ohlins no longer manufactures here stateside and have farmed that out over seas

Fingers crossed they ship out and don't go on a long back ordering wait list.
The trade offs vs HyperPro is that the SE one doesnt have low and high speed compression separated, but I'm not sure if you can get the full preload range adjustment with the hyperpro while still in the bike. The SE shock I know I can get the full range with just the RAP.
The mounting system IMO is better for the SE one, and in terms of moving to a EU country, the SE shock is made for it so vehicle inspection will like that. The SE shock should also be a fair bit easier to install since I don't have to worry about getting the resevior around a swing arm and stuff to mount it.
SE Shock costs a fair bit more than the hyperpro, but such is life.
Sucks to have to replace the FOX Shock but a piece of kit that comes from King of the Baggers and racing HD bikes on my bike seems like a good idea.
