i had set my clock after ownership. since then after every shut off it resets back to 12:00.
battery is new, cables are tight. gauge pod is plugged in stays plugged in.
is this another thing with harley? is this just a trip clock. or is it supposed stay set with powered memory? would be nice to actually use it..
anyone with this issue? what solutions have you found?
the rest of the pod is fine works as it should.

Mine stays set, sounds like you have a unique problem.
My 2023 Breakout clock retains time correctly. IF you are not running the bike frequently, there ARE "always on" computer loads that WILL drain the battery within a few days, and thus cause the clock to lose its time. I don't know how many days it takes to run the bttary down on a typical HD, but cars will do it in just a few days. This si why most HD riders keep their bike on a SMART battery charger whenever it is not being used.
I'm not looking at the electrical diagrams, but generally there's two power supplies to the likes of the clock.
One is hot only when the key is on. This is the one that "turns on" the display.
The other is uninterrupted. This is the memory backup function.
I suspect your uninterrupted power supply is not connected. Off hand, I'd suspect a bent pin in a connector.
Mr. Rabies: FranBunny's posting got me thinking: You don't have any sort of permanently installed tuner on the bike, do you? Because the clock probably does reset anytime the ECU tune is altered.
