Anyone know of what would possibly be a lightweight air cleaner? I have the screamin eagle stg1 its ok however I cant easily modify the "direction of blowby".

any suggestions?

Which air cleaner do you have? If it's the OEM "Ventilator" style, oval shaped, you can do what many others have done as well as myself and drill two holes in the backing plate and route some 1/4" ID tubing from the breather bolts through the backside of the plate and connect to a tee and vent to atmosphere underneath the bike. Free and cheap mod to stop the oily vapours from getting routed back into the intake to be burned and causing unnecessary carbon buildup on top of the pistons.

Great advice. Easy to do and cheap. Very effective!

Here's a video of basically the setup I created. I ended up drilling two holes and making the tee connection outside of the intake but it's the same concept.

Thanks for the video, I ran mine out the back of the air filter plate requiring two holes. The tee fitting is behind the air cleaner. Now that I see your set up, I wish I would have gone that route. I like the way you did yours much better.

I also have mine just routed below the bike, no catch can. Are you getting any oil in your catch can?

The 114 Oval on the non FXLRS/FXDR bikes is the screamin eagle Ventilator. It's just a different kit with all the same parts, except an SE badge, and K&N Filter.
