What is this electrical component?
However, I found this module under the seat held down with strong 2 way tape and with duct tape covering up some jumpers. It appears to be wired into the turn signal harnesses although Im not sure yet. Im unfamiliar with the bike and cant yet fully tell whats normal stock Harley electrical wiring stuff and what aftermarket electrical wiring was added. I bought it from a dealer so theres no way to contact the previous owner. Im guessing it might be some kind of load equalizer or controller for LED bulbs that were removed before trading it in.
It didnt come with an owners or tech manual so Ill be getting those and perusing them thoroughly, but in the meantime I was hoping to tap into the vast knowledge base here.
Everything works normally but I want to remove it if its superfluous and restore the wiring back to normal for reliability reasons. From what Ive read so far and seen in online videos, the newer Harleys can adapt to LED turn signal bulbs on their own and dont need load balancing resistor modules like the old days. Im not sure thats what this, its just a guess. Has anyone ever seen something like this?
