Default Redshift 468 and Thundermax

Have any of you put in a similar bolt-in cam with a Thunder Max ? Mine is a 2020 Sport Glide with a 107 and 34.400 trouble-free miles.
I'm curious as to how happy you are with the Thunder Max and cam. Any electrical issues or odd motor noises ?? Are you happy with the performance gains, if any?? Would appreciate any info you could give me on a cam and Thunder Max install on a 107 with high flow air and no cat muffler. I'm only really interested in the guys that used a Thunder Max with a cam,. I have already done this combo and interested in a comparison to how you like yours compared to how I like mine. I'm having some speedometer electrical issues, my mechanic won't be back from vacation for another 8 days. I have 700 miles on the new set up.

I have a Thundermax on my 22 Stage 2 Street Bob and 24 Stage 2 Fat Boy. Both have Redshift 468 cams. 15K combined miles and no issues. Bikes run great....smooth power all the way to 6000 rpm plus plenty of low end torque..

Gas mileage decreased slightly due to a richer fuel mixture but bikes run cooler as a result.

That's exactly what I was expecting, glad it worked out for you. I'm having issues with the speedometer, and my gas gauge is not working correctly, it does a lot of weird things I can't trust it. In 4th, 5th, 6th I have to be over 3000 rpm to feel more torque then stock. When going up large MI style hills or on moderate acceleration I get a thumping noise that comes out of my air cleaner I have been told by several people that is normal, I hope it is. I did everything on my mechanics recommendations and bought everything through him. He is a good mechanic I've known him for 10 years and he's a super nice guy I'm sure he will help me out on the electrical issues when he gets back from his vacation. Simply put, I just don't feel like I got much of a power increase, and I'm very surprised. Thanks for your input.

I've never experienced any thumping or other unusual noises when accelerating. When I had my Stage 2's done, power and torque improvements were immediately noticeable.

Thundermax has several maps specific to the RS468. There has to be something wrong with your install and/or tune

I called up two of my buds that have had stage 2 cams done over the last 12 years, both of them said they noticed a little more odd noises coming from the air cleaner, otherwise no problem.
Mine sounds like a baseie thumping noise coming from the air cleaner, it's actually kind of a cool sound. Low RPMs or high RPMs it doesn't do it. Only makes the noise going up a hill at steady speeds or a moderate acceleration. If I put my right leg tight to the gas tank to block out the air cleaner, I can't hear it. Still struggling with a gas gauge showing odd amounts of gas that make no sense. 5 more days before my installation mechanic will be back in town. I'm close to 800 miles on the new cam.
I'm going to stop riding it after tonight, until he gets back.
Thank you for your input.

Check the electrical connector under the tank that plugs into the speedo. If any of the connectors got bent or its not plugged in all the way it will cause gauge issues.

My bike ran perfect in every way until the new ECM was installed Thunder Max. I had over 34,000 miles on it ran perfect. I just wanted a better sound and a little more fun and excitement riding it, but it's not happening. However the sound is better, that's about it. I will bring up what you said when I see him hopefully tomorrow. Thank you for responding.
