Does anyone else have a problem going from 1st to 2nd? I upshift gear indication shows 2nd let out clutch and it shows neutral and I must upshift a second time. Neutral to 2nd without being in 1st has a positive shift. I have enjoyed the ease of finding neutral but not to miss-shift.
Had that on my '17 once, for me the clutch cable wasn't pulling things enough, too much slack. The dealer I brought it too never tightened it enough and it kept slipping (was great fun when it slipped so much I no longer had a clutch), I carried 2 wrenches with me for years lol.
Taking it in on Friday. Until then not using 1st gear.
Myself and 2 other guys I know had transmission problems on our 2020 Lowrider S's. The dealers tried to put blame elsewhere. Don't let them tell you it's not a problem with the trans. There have been sporadic problems with the shift drum and some bearings etc.
Seems it is a known issue. "The Harley Davidson Lowrider S may experience transmission issues such as downshifting problems and false neutrals, particularly between the 1st and 2nd gears. If these issues occur, it's advisable to consult a dealer for potential repairs, which may include replacing the shift cam assembly and shifting forks."
Glad I have my Dyna to ride when the Lowrider is in the shop. I wonder how long this will take. Frustrating when a new bike has a problem.
