I don't see any internal transmission part differences between the Low Rider or the Heritage, and presumably the rest of the softail lineup. Definitely differences on the external shifting linkage, but nothing inside the gearbox that I can see. Don't understand that warning about Low Riders having a unique internal problem with theirs.
I do know my Heritage is darn sensitive to bike position and tilt, in any direction, when it comes to measuring oil level while leaned over on the stand. Heck, I can make it vary on the stick by almost a quart simply by turning it around in my mildly sloped driveway. In any case, oil level isn't a hyper sensitive measure or level. Sure, don't go stupid with vast overfills or leaving so low the dipstick is dry. But otherwise, somewhere vaguely between the marks is fine.
