Default 25 LRST Security Light

Why is the security light not activating when the bike is parked? And if it isn’t, is it not working for warning functions neither. I’m guessing this will be the case for all 25s not sure about 26s but the ones I’ve looked at same thing. No flashing light. According to the owners manual it should be functioning.

Same here on the 25 Heritage 117. Although it is noted in Owners Manual. Even put my in storage mode and back to enabled. Best I get is for directionals to flash. Dealer was clueless. Said the original RED Battery flash at start means it's enabled.

Crazy no RED Key 🗝️ Flashing in my 25.

Ride Safe 🤙

Finally got word back from HD today after making several calls about this issue. There is NO red security light. The 25 and up bikes do not have the red light period on the gauge. The owners manual is incorrect and they will be making an adjustment to the electronic version of the owners manual on line.

I just picked up a 2026 Heritage a couple of weeks ago and noticed the exact same thing. My owners manual mentioned the red indicator and directs you to a diagram of the speedometer but when you look at the illustration there is no red LED. The dealer said when the directionals flash that indicates the security is activated. I came from a touring bike that did have the red LED. Evidently the new softails did away with this feature.

Yeah actually kind lame that they did that. I still have my Road Glide and that's what made me look in the first place. I like the RED indicator....its a deterrent. Also that light on at least my touring bike is a warning indicator for a fault or issue with a safety feature. If the RED light stays steading once the bike is started its a visual indicator for a safety issue..ie: ABS or TPMS issue.
