Before getting any extensions, try fishing some of the extra harness out of the backbone. It's secured to that rubber grommet but there's quite a bit tucked back in there.
I've done similar on my LRST. Not that there was a lot extra... But just getting all I could and straightening out as much as possible, I had enough to do my 6" riser...
Man, that rubber boot is such a pain in the ***... I sort of have thought about doing that, but I hate messing with it.... But you are right. I'm going to have to. I get the stuff Saturday, so Friday night I'll have to get everything stripped down, and get the harness out and make sure it's all as straight as possible... I can image it being shorter or not enough when my low rider is.

If you don't end up with enough length, I got my gauge extended wire from Guerilla Cables. It was just the one harness. Really simple and less than $50 if I remember right.

Awesome, I'll look it up....
Man, $90 for the middle length. So that puts HD around $120. Thanks man.

So I get my bars today. All stoked to get everything changed over... Let's have a look... Wrong farking bars. I ordered the right ones, that's not what they sent.... ERRRRRRRRRR... Can't catch a flippin break on this thing.
So I did pull out the wiring and the boot... Yes, there is plenty for a 6" riser... Well, enough. That just plugs into the boot/caddy... So there is no more anywhere else. It's like 12" or so long, but long enough. If I really needed to I could reroute, but I don't think I will need to. The hand controls I'm not worried about. I'm not changing their position much, just more riser, less bar, so that should be no problem. Over all I think I'm gaining 1-1.5 rise, and 2" forward... So not a ton.
And just finish this off.... I got Thrashin supply bars. High bend bars at 5.5" and Bung King 6.5 risers with 2" pull back to are right about same height plus pull back. There is more that enough gage wire to ride up. Controls harnesses are no issue, plenty of length. Got it all cleaned up and finished. Pull back does the trick, bars are 3" narrower each side. You definitely need the 25+ bars. And the guage lifted another 5" is a big plus.
Also, I need to give special shout out to Bung King. At first I was irritated getting wrong bars, and I don't care for not being able to call a company. HOWEVER, they went over and above getting me taken care of. They were plenty responsive, and they did stuff they didn't have to, and I didn't expect. So more than happy with their awesome customer service, simple mistakes happen. I was just a little impatient. They are definitely a stand up outfit. Bravo! Thanks BK!

Definitely a stand up bunch of people. My Dad ordered a set of rear bag guards for this Road Glide. He asked about fitment with his particular pipe. They said they hadn't tested specifically with that pipe, but have not had any complaints. He got them and sure enough, pipe didn't clear. He emailed them and sent pics. They got right back to him, offered to make him a new part with proper clearance. He had it in a week, no charge. I've used a few of their parts and never had an issue. Really like their products.
I've been using BK stuff since my old chopper building days and they've always been solid. They don't have the ad budget or cool kid factor other brands do but their parts and cust service are top notch. Plus they'll make you whatever you want on risers, any size, pullback etc for way cheaper than anyone else. I wish they had a chrome program is my only complaint. If they offered all coating options it would be game over. Post some more pics of the finished product. @Powermankw
