Has anyone tried this BRIGHT helmet light. Works with a gyro.
A fully self-contained product that detects all braking events without wiring into your motorcycle
Friend has one, and it works pretty well. I had a Nolan one of similar design on my helmet, I don't think it worked as well.
Biggest problem with this type is that it uses the sensor. So if it's not set to be very sensitive, it doesn't flash if you are braking gently. If it's set hyper sensitive, it flashes if you just roll off the throttle.
Next time I get one, I'm going to try to find one that uses a sender that I wire into the brake light. That way it will flash the helmet brake light in synch with the bike, and when I want to use it to manually flash the brake light, such as when I'm stopped at a red light and there are vehicles approaching me from the rear.
I'm all for being visible. My spots and front turns are amber in contrast with the white headlight. Rear has run/brake/turn module along with a strobing brake light.
A light on my helmet is just something that I'm not interested in.
